When we moved to Atlanta, we decided to buy memberships for a few kid-friendly local attractions to help make the transition a little more enjoyable for our kiddos. One of the places we picked to become members of is the Atlanta Botanical Garden. I used to love visiting the garden when I lived in Atlanta before, and, since then, they have completely redone the space, so it's even better now. It's a great place for the kids to visit...they get to run and explore...and since it looks completely different during each season, it's like seeing an entirely new garden every few months.
This particular day was pretty hot, but we decided the kids needed a little outside time, so we headed to the garden for a bit.
First, we said hello to their favorite frog...
Then, we decided to head over to the children's section.
Avery and Noel were running a bit ahead of us, and, unfortunately, we forgot about the water-play area...
By the time we caught up with them, they were already soaking wet...
...which wouldn't have been a problem, except we forgot to bring extra clothes for them...
...but it was a hot day, and we figured they'd dry quickly...
...so we just went with it. And they had a blast...
Chillin'...
...while Noel runs off some steam (and attempts to dry his shorts)...
Posing with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's mascots...
Will...
...and Hope
(who the hospital employees jokingly refer to as Queasy [green] and Wheezy [blue]...HA!)
And the obligatory attempt at a family photo...
